Yard Waste Recycling

On December 1, 1993, the State of Ohio banned yard waste from Ohio landfills. This ban was initiated because yard waste takes up about 20% of our residential solid waste landfill space.

The City of Cincinnati Department of Public Services Neighborhood Operations Division provides a year round curbside Yard Waste Collection Program for City residents (up to 9 unit dwellings). Residents can place yard waste at the curb on their regularly scheduled collection day alongside their recycling bin and other solid waste.
