The Department of Public Services is responsible for the effective, efficient delivery of quality solid waste, snow removal, highway maintenance, fleet services, and architectural maintenance services. It is the goal of the department to provide the citizens of the City of Cincinnati with a clean and safe environment. We are focused on enhancing the quality of life of our residents and preserving the environment in which we all live.

In the past year, we incorporated new strategies and bio-technology to manage snow and ice removal in the city. The new technology has less of an impact on our environment and is helping to improve the effectiveness of our street clearing efforts despite significant weather conditions.

As we focus on the summer months, we face renewed opportunities to maintain clean and safe public areas for all of our citizens to live in. Our crews have loaded up their summer gear and are working to maintain the city for you. Please join me in being proud of and enjoying our great city this summer and all year round.
