The Cincinnati Police Department held a promotion ceremony at 1:00 p.m. Thursday August 23 in the Chief’s office at Police Headquarters, 310 Ezzard Charles Drive.  Chief Thomas H. Streicher, Jr. administered the oath of office to Sergeant Michael Reynolds. 

Sergeant Michael Reynolds is a graduate of Amelia High School.  He served six years in the United States Marine Corps, with tours in Japan and Saudi Arabia.  In July 1998 he entered the Police Academy’s 86th Recruit Class.  Since graduation in December 1998, he has been assigned to District Three, where he has worked both on patrol and in the Violent Crimes Squad.   When evaluating his performance, Sergeant Reynolds’ supervisors have noted that he is an experienced and knowledgeable Field Training Officer who does a great job with probationary police officers.  Sergeant Reynolds lives in Deer Park with his wife and their son.
