The City of Cincinnati is the fifth largest employer in this area. The Human Resources(HR) Department serves a population of over 300,000 citizens, and provides a variety of equal employment opportunities. We also serve more than 6,000 employees with a full array of employment and personnel services.
Our mission statement is simple and to the point:

2009 was a year of many challenges for our country as well as for the City of Cincinnati and for the Human Resources Department, but we withstood them and are poised for an excellent 2010. We continue to incorporate the “Charge For Change” initiative in our Human Resources practices and training, we continue streamlining the hiring process through the use of the on-line application process, and publishing our HR newsletter on-line for employees and citizens to be well informed.
Human Resources is committed to keeping staff engaged and well informed about employment best practices through trainings that occur throughout the year, which are vital to meeting our customers’ needs.
